Ipswich Store
Mugwort & Mistletoe are honoured to be the latest caretakers of the stunning 16th century building, Curzon Lodge.
As big fans of local history, we have done lots of research on the shop and would love to geek out with you about it on your next visit!
Occupying the corner of St Nicholas Street and Silent Street, the building was a chemist for over a century and famed for being opposite the childhood home of Ipswich’s most famous son, Cardinal Wolsey.
We knew from the beginning that St Nicolas Street was the perfect setting for an independent and unique business like ours, and we’re so grateful to be in fantastic company, sharing the street with many other independent businesses, celebrating community and authentic goods and services.
This listed shop boasts carved wooden beams and pillars, a large stone fireplace, vaulted cellars and a hole host of historic detailing. We think this cosy and atmospheric space is the perfect home for Mugwort & Mistletoe!
Our Story
Aimee (she/her) and Moss (they/she) are long time organisers and participants in our local spiritual and wellness community.
We met through dance classes and soon realised we share a passion for nature, history and earth-based spirituality. A few years into organising the Gippeswyck Pagan Gathering we formed a small private grove group with a couple of other Druid friends and we continue to honour the changing seasons together and are still dancing too!
When we heard our dear friends at Sacred Earth were retiring, we knew immediately what a loss it would be to our community and vowed to continue the legacy.
Mugwort & Mistletoe was born with the unique concept that combines retail and wellness, by valuing holistic health and handcrafted products with the glue of community to bring it all together.
We are over the moon to have found the perfect home for our vision and hope to be here connecting folks to the Earth and themselves for many years to come.
